I am Christy Carter, Christian author, wife of a cotton farmer, mother of two grown boys and all of their friends (just ask them). I love all things DIRT: baseball games, cotton fields, gardens, yard work, dogs and children (dogs and children are always in the dirt). Hey, what can I say, I live on a dirt road!
I have been married to my husband, Earl, and lived in the same house for 30 years. We have two sons, Jordan and Logan. Jordan is our oldest. He is married to Jerrica and they live on my Dad’s old farmstead. Jordan farms with his dad and his grandpa. Logan lives in Florence, Alabama finishing his senior year and played baseball for UNA. Collectively we farm 8200 acres of cotton, soybeans, and wheat in the boot-heel of Missouri and Northeast Arkansas. We farm whatever makes us money that year.
Get to Know me!
What makes me happy? Cooking for other people, watching the St. Louis Cardinal’s and listening to Mike Shannon on the radio!
What would my friends say about me? Hmmm, I am sure they would say I am sweet, kind, compassionate, lovely and just wonderful. (wink, wink)
What are my hobbies? Gardening, cooking, and decorating houses
What makes me laugh? When Clark Grizwold gets hit in the head with the ladder in Christmas Vacation. I laugh every time I see that part of the movie.
What is the craziest thing I have done this year? Invited my best friend and her daughter over at 4:00 am. to watch the Prince Harry get married.
What drives me crazy? People that chew ice and people that drive slow in the fast line!
Oh….I love living in the country, getting my mail and being outside!
